WHat is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?
The purpose of Direct Primary Care is to deliver professional healthcare services, including patient assessment, treatment, coordination of care, health education, and related clinical support services in a welcoming environment with a dedicated staff who puts you first. DPC is a healthcare model where patients pay their primary care provider a flat monthly (or annual) membership fee for access to a defined set of services—without insurance billing for routine care.
At Boost Mode DPC we focus on lifestyle medicine. The current healthcare system is set up for the sick, not preventative care. Boost Mode is set up for longer visits, patient centered care, no wait time for appointments, lower cost treatment plans and no shortage of medical providers. You get to see the same medical provider at each visit plus you will have access to well trained, competent registered nurses as needed.
This model improves overall patient health outcomes – you are no longer going to wait weeks or months to see your medical provider for acute or chronic conditions. This will encourage accountability, improved chronic medical conditions, prevention of disease, decreased urgent care/emergency room visits, self directed healthcare, the development of a strong relationship with your medical provider. The end result will be stronger, healthier lives!

The founder of Boost Mode DPC
Our Founder is Tina Butt, FNP-C. Boost Mode is a nurse practitioner owned and run primary care practice with the focus on lifestyle medicine, not sick visits.
Tina worked in the out-patient primary care setting struggling with the logistics of the healthcare system. Her patients trusted her to “help them feel better”, but due to the current standards, they were unable to see her during the most pressing times. Her patients had long wait times in between visits (sometimes months); difficulty getting refills on time; inability to reach their healthcare provider for common health concerns and questions; insurance companies denying prescribed treatment plans; and more.

When Tina decided to leave the traditional medical setting, she received kickback from her patients due to fear of “who will I see now?” Supply of primary care providers (PCPs) is on the decline, but the demand is high. PCPs are expected to give the best care for each individual while addressing the full body in a very short amount of time.
PCPs are managing:
- Chronic health conditions
- Acute sick visits
- Specialist pushback with medication management and refills
It’s no wonder they are burnt out.
Providers get into Primary Care because they love helping people and working with the body as a whole, but there is not enough time to FOCUS on the whole person.
Tina’s goal is to provide the primary care services that her patients deserve on her and their terms. She will choose who she will treat and limit the number of patients being managed by her. Her patients will continue to get the full attention of their trusted PCP, but in a quiet, non rushed environment.
