This is my first post. I am sitting here and wondering what I should post about. There are several thoughts going through my head….. should I just be me or a different version of me. Since you don’t know me, I figure, I better just be me! I am a fun, outgoing and sometimes loud person. I listen to people but I tend to want to get my opinions heard. I wait for people to ask me for my opinion prior to just giving it to them.
Speaking of opinions….. I wanted to start a blog to be able to voice my opinion about health and wellness and most of all about the complicated healthcare system. There are so many people who “want” to be healthy, yet they cannot reach their goals. Why? That’s what I want to touch on and hopefully offer some insight and information to assist those of us that may be struggling with our health ultimately limiting us from reaching overall wellness in mind, body and spirit.
Why do this?
- Because I can give you information that you can use from your own home to help you live a better life.
- Because it will help you focus on you!
- Because I hope to alleviate some of your stress
- Because I want to see you succeed and reach your goals
- Because I care
As a Nurse Practitioner, I see illness on a regular basis. The goal in medicine is supposed to be to “make people better”. But I have asked myself for years, “If I am working to make people better, then why are there so many people getting sick?” The answer is really simple and I will provide the answer(s) to this question in my weekly Blog(this blog).
The problem with this question, “If I am working to make people better, then why are there so many people getting sick?” is that the solution to my answer is very difficult and not straight forward. This is where you guys will come into play. We can interact with each other to discuss what is holding us back from achieving our goals of a healthy lifestyle and overall wellness. I say us, because, yes I too can always work harder to achieve a well balanced life.

I am still on my special diet and heading to improve my life. Gluten free dairy free and sugar free. Very hard to do but it’s for your health. You can do it
Sonya, I am so proud of you! That is very difficult and most people cannot do it but when faced with a life changing circumstance in order to move forward you did what was necessary!! You keep moving forward and make sure to keep me in the loop. I cannot stress how proud of you I am!
